Oil and Democrats

If the democrats win in Nov, we can expect the US Oil company stocks to drop. The taxes being proposed will results in decreased earnings and higher gasoline prices. XOM, VLO, COP.

Watching for Jul Calls

As June calls get closer to expiring I have started watching Jul calls. I like buy stocks and sell covered calls ATM or ITM for 4+ percent return after commissions. Stocks I am currently tracking to determine if they will be in a buy position on 23 Jun are: MON, X, VLO, AUY, LDK, TRA, AA, TIE, POT, GRA. Will keep an eye on these and watch for others. I like the stock to be turning up from a recent down trend to improve the chances of being exercised.

Why I Started Covered Call

I determined a need to increase cash flow for my retirement. I looked around and reviewed several covered call concepts and selected the technique developed by Joseph Hooper of Compound Stock Earnings. They have proven to be a great source for education and for support during trading with excellent management techniques to maintain cash flow during a down market. I have been averaging about 4% cash flow per month for the last 6 months.
